Nana Koizumi - Trumpet/Vocals

Nana Koizumi is a multi-talented trumpeter, vocalist, composer, educator, and graphic designer originally from Nara, Japan. Her musical journey began at age 10, leading her to study at Osaka College of Music and later immerse herself in jazz, developing a passion for improvisation and performance. Nana has since become a prominent figure in Japan’s jazz scene, performing at major festivals, on radio programs, and at Universal Studios Japan. She has also shared her expertise as a mentor, guiding young musicians while expanding her artistic pursuits into graphic design. Her career has taken her around the world, with performances across Japan, the U.S., Canada, Thailand, Korea, and China. After relocating to Australia in 2022, she quickly became a sought-after performer in Sydney and Melbourne, appearing at renowned venues and festivals. She launched the "Japanese Music Project" to showcase Japanese musical culture through jazz abroad. Recent milestones include a debut in South Korea, performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, and an upcoming appearance at BLUE YARD, produced by Blue Note Japan, further solidifying her status as a rising international artist.
